Graduation Final Update:
Thursday, May 7: Rehearsal and Grad Gown Pick-up in Main Gym during period 3 (last class of the day).
Friday, May 8:
Before the Ceremony
- Students should make arrangements for a meeting place outside the hall to meet their guests as they will leave during the recessional before guests leave.
- When planning consider the time needed for parking. Here is the live link to the CS parking map, including road closures, access routes and parking lot numbers: Access Map | Culture + Entertainment District. Please see additional parking information below.
- If possible, you may want to use the C-Train and exit at Victoria Park/Stampede Station.
- As students receive their cap and gown on Thursday, May 7 which they keep as a memento, photos with family and friends should be taken before or after the ceremony.
- The full program that includes messages from the CBE Chief Superintendent, CBE Board of trustees, Order of Ceremony, and the List of the Class of 2026 was emailed to students and families. There will only be a printed Order of Ceremony at the event.
Arriving for the Ceremony
- Students should arrive at the venue between 8:00am and 8:15am, they need to get their name card from the teachers and then they will be directed where their alphabetical group will meet.
- Doors to the hall will open between 8:00am and 8:15am, guests must show their ticket to enter the venue.
- Guests should enter by 8:55am as we will hold back late arrivals during the processional of students. Late arrivals will be able to enter once the processional of students and O Canada has finished.
During the Ceremony
- Guests are asked to remain in their seats throughout the event and not be wandering around the hall.
- During the ceremony there will be a photographer taking a photo of each student with the principal on stage. The complimentary photo will be handed out in homerooms, the date is TBA.

- Parking Rates - The daily parking rate at lots closest to the BMO Centre is $18 per vehicle.

- Drop-Off Areas: Designated drop-off zones are available surrounding the BMO Centre.
- In/Out Privileges: For those attending both a graduation ceremony and banquet on the same day, your single parking purchase includes in/ out privileges for that day.
CHHS Graduation Closing Ceremony Information
To participate in the Graduation Closing Ceremony, you must:
- Be on the official grad list posted outside the student services office.
- Have paid Graduation fees.
Students DO NOT need a ticket for themselves as they will be seated in the graduate section.
All guests, no matter their age, require a ticket to attend the event. Students can reserve up to 6 tickets.
- Tickets for the Ceremony are available to reserve through your parent or independent student PowerSchool account.
- Tickets for the ceremony are available to reserve until Monday, April 20 at 11:00pm.
- If you need more than 6 tickets, please complete the following form with your request for more tickets by April 14 at 11:45pm https://forms.office.com/r/LdyffvA40y Extra tickets are not guaranteed. Contact regarding requests for extra tickets will happen after April 14.

CHHS Graduation Banquet
To participate in the Graduation Banquet, you must:
- Be on the official grad list posted outside the student services office.
- Have paid all CBE associated fees.
Students must purchase a ticket for themselves and any guests to attend the event.
Tickets for the Banquet and Dance cost $125. They are purchased through your parent or independent student PowerSchool account. You will receive an email confirmation for the purchase; this will be needed for entry on the day of the event.
- Tickets for the banquet and Dance must be purchased by Friday, April 3 at 11:45pm as we need to submit numbers to BMO shortly after this date.
If you would like to only attend the dance portion of the evening, tickets can be purchased at the school business office.
- Tickets for the dance only portion of the evening must be purchased by Friday, May 1st by 1pm.

Graduation 2026 Save the Date:
- Graduation Closing Ceremony at BMO Centre on Stampede Grounds – Friday, May 8, 2026 at 8:45am.
- Students do not need a ticket to attend. All guests attending, no matter their age, will need a ticket. Ticket limits and how to reserve tickets will be communicated by early March.
- Graduation Banquet at BMO Centre on Stampede Grounds – Friday, May 8, 2026, at 6:15pm
- Students DO need to purchase a ticket to attend. All guests attending, no matter their age, will need a ticket. Ticket limits and how to purchase tickets will be communicated by early March.
- Graduation Rehearsal and Grad Gown pick up will occur on Thursday, May 7 in the main gym of CHHS during period 3 (2:04 pm). Do not plan any appointments during this time.
- Participating in the graduation closing ceremony does not guarantee that you will receive a high school diploma.
- To participate in the graduation ceremony, students must have 80 credits and a plan for the final 20 credits toward their high school diploma. If your student is working toward a high school completion certificate, they must have 65 credits and a plan for the final 15 credits.
- To receive a high school diploma or high school completion certificate from Alberta Learning students must meet the requirements. These will be mailed from Alberta Learning after the student has met the requirements.

NOTES:
· Parents, please make sure that you have signed up to receive emails from the school.
· Students, please check your CBE email account for communication.
· Once your student has turned 18, parents do not receive information unless the students signs a waiver.
· To get tickets for guests to the ceremony, the graduation ceremony fee must be paid. The fee will be added once the student is on the graduation list.
· To be able to purchase tickets to the banquet, all CBE associated fees must be paid. If you would like to dispute fees owed at other schools, you must contact the other school.
