Physical Education
PHYSICAL EDUCATION 20
Credits: 5 Prerequisite: Physical Education 10
Physical Education 20 is a complementary course for all high school students who have successfully completed Physical Education 10. Extensive travel to off-site activities is required in this course and attendance is mandatory. A fee is charged for off-site activities and transportation. Off-site activities may include golfing, bowling, hiking, disc golf, among others. Off-site activities are dependent on availability. Students will be expected to wear appropriate attire for this class (both indoor and outdoor runners as well as athletic clothing are required; PE shirts will be provided).
PHYSICAL EDUCATION 30
Credits: 5 Prerequisite: Physical Education 20
Physical Education 30 is a complementary course for all high school students who have successfully completed Physical Education 20. Extensive travel to off-site activities is required in this course and attendance is mandatory. Class times might be altered to meet travel times, requiring students to leave early in the morning, over the lunch hour or returning to the school after the final bell. A fee is charged for off-site activities and transportation.
Off-site activities may include golfing, bowling, disc golf, curling, billiards, hiking, batting cages, tennis, among others.

Outdoor Education
ENVIRONMENTAL AND OUTDOOR EDUCATION INTRO
5 Credits Prerequisite: None
Are you a hands-on-learner with a passion for the outdoors and the environment? Do you enjoy being active and working as part of a team? Then this introductory course that explores the natural world, ecological processes, and different modes of travelling in the outdoors is for you. Classes will be structured around hands on activities and experiences in the form of projects and trips that apply skills and knowledge for environmentally responsible outdoor activities.
ENVIRONMENTAL AND OUTDOOR EDUCATION INTERMEDIATE
5 Credits Prerequisite: Environmental and Outdoor Education Intro
Are you a hands-on-learner with a passion for the outdoors and the environment? Do you enjoy being active and working as part of a team? Then this intermediate course that explores the natural world, ecological processes, and different modes of travelling in the outdoors is for you. Classes will be structured around hands on activities and experiences in the form of projects and trips that apply skills and knowledge for environmentally responsible outdoor activities.
ENVIRONMENTAL AND OUTDOOR EDUCATION ADVANCED
5 Credits Prerequisite: Environmental and Outdoor Education Intermediate
Are you a hands-on-learner with a passion for the outdoors and the environment? Do you enjoy being active and working with a team? Then this advanced course, intended to develop skills and understanding related to a variety of outdoor and environmental topics is for you. The focus of the course will include environmental awareness, wilderness travel skills, group dynamics, leadership responsibilities, and a variety of related knowledge and skills. Students will take a large leadership role in organizing and planning out trips. Material covered in class will be reinforced through participation in planned outings. Possibilities may include backpacking, cycling, skiing/snowboarding, rock climbing and kayaking.
